After the Evaluation for Children and Students.

Understanding the Next Steps

We want to do more than provide just a diagnosis. Our goal is that each family leaves the follow-up meeting with a solid understanding of the testing results and what the plan of action is moving forward. Once the assessment is completed, it is essential to know the steps to take next to ensure the student receives the support they need.

Tip: Follow-up appointments are a great time to ask detailed questions and clarify any recommendations.

What Happens After the Evaluation?

As part of our services, we offer an online follow-up appointment to review the assessment results, usually within 7-10 days of the evaluation. During this meeting, our certified diagnosticians will guide you through the report, explaining its findings and recommendations in an easy-to-understand manner. This ensures that families are empowered with the knowledge they need to advocate for their child effectively.

The Assessment Report

The assessment report is written in a way that is easy to understand and includes practical recommendations based on the student’s strengths and weaknesses. This document becomes a valuable tool for families, schools, and other professionals to collaborate effectively in supporting the student’s learning journey.

Tip: Share the assessment report with your child’s teachers and support staff to ensure everyone is aligned on the next steps.

Creating A 'Gameplan' for Support

During the follow-up appointment, we explain how to share this information with the school and what types of support are available both in and outside of school. This may include:

  • Requesting accommodations in the classroom: Tailored support to address learning challenges.
  • Exploring specialized interventions: Targeted programs to enhance learning.
  • Using assistive technology: Tools that assist with reading, writing, and organization.
  • Accessing external resources and support networks: Additional resources to support academic success.

Stat: Over 70% of students with tailored educational plans show significant improvement in academic performance.
